Heading to the pool with kids? Here's a tip from SafeKids: Choose a Water Watcher. When there are several adults present, choose one to be responsible for watching the kids in the water without distractions for a certain period of time, such as 15 minutes. After 15 minutes, select another adult to be the Water Watcher.

The Friday before Memorial Day is "Don't Fry Day," and a good opportunity to emphasize sun safety. Remember to Slip! Slop! Slap! and Wrap! Slip on a shirt, slop on sunscreen of SPF 15 or higher, slap on a hat, and wrap on sunglasses to protect yourself from sun damage.
