We are honored to joined forces with Scott Barmore, our Inside Cultural Organizer who is currently incarcerated at JCCC. Scott who has been incarcerated for 26 years is in deep study with 6 young warriors for Black August.

Yesterday we were able to join them for a political education study about the 13th amendment, racial capitalism, slavery, and the prison movement.

Scott Scott Barmore will be co-leading Writing Beyond the walls with tauadwin Tau Adwin and we are grateful for their leadership and commitment.

tauadwin offered a personal reflection about Black August, incarceration, and being politicized by other brothers who were inside the belly of the beast.

He discussed the body art that invited him into a conversation about revolution. This is symbolism. Malidome Some reminds of that symbols are portal and gateways to the other world and here Tau affirms that concept. He also discussed sacred agency and the ability to still choose life.

Tau will be presenting at Writing Beyond the Walls w/ Inside Cultural Organizer Scott Barmore this Wednesday at the Deaconess Foundation..
