On July 23, 2026, at approximately 3:19 p.m., detectives and deputies with the Ada County Sheriff's Office and Star Police located and arrested 29-year-old Jose Lozano Flores at Quinn's Pond in Boise. Lozano Flores was subsequently booked into the Ada County Jail on {F} Lewd Conduct with a Child Under 16, {F} Kidnapping (First Degree) and {M} Resisting and Obstructing.
This arrest stems from an incident that occurred the previous evening. Preliminary information indicates that on July 22, 2026, at approximately 9 p.m., Lozano Flores sexually assaulted a 15-year-old female at Freedom Park in Star. Lozano Flores then left the park with the victim in his vehicle. Preliminary investigation indicates Lozano Flores and the victim were not known to one another prior to this incident.
The victim was also located at Quinn’s Pond and has since been reunited with her family.
Due to the sensitive nature of this case, details are limited, and no further information will be released at this time.
