We are part of the largest grassroots pro-democracy movement in U.S. Welcome to Northwest Valley Indivisible, a local chapter of the national Indivisible movement dedicated to defending democracy, advocating for progressive policies, and holding elected officials accountable.

The Surprise City Council meets tonight while the ICE Prison Camp on Sweetwater keeps moving forward — a detention warehouse packed beside Rinchem's chemicals, in a plausible hazard zone shared with Dysart High School and over 73k residents of Surprise and El Mirage.

We are done letting this council stay silent.

5 PM — Rally outside Surprise City Hall, 16000 N. Civic Center Plaza
6 PM — We move inside and pack the chambers

So we're releasing Iranian assets and suspending sanctions without a nuclear agreement?

We have a worse deal than before, and it cost precious American lives and hundreds of billions of dollars.

But hey...at least we got the Strait of Hormuz open again, right?

An Iranian official spoke with Reuters regarding the potential interim deal with the US, indicating some of what has been agreed to, including:

-Fully opening the Strait of Hormuz immediately

-U.S. to lift naval blockade within 30 days

-$25 billion in Iranian assets to be unfrozen, including direct cash transfers

-The U.S. will suspend current sanctions, allowing Iranian oil to be openly sold

-Full sanctions relief following a final agreement in 60 days

-Formation of an economic development and reconstruction plan

-No new sanctions imposed while negotiations continue

-Iran agrees it will neither produce nor acquire nuclear weapons

-Fate of the nuclear program, including stockpile of highly enriched uranium, to be negotiated and finalized within 60 days
