Department of Child Support Services (also known as DCSS) is a state wide program that is federally funded under Title IV-D of the Federal Social Security Act 42 U.S.C. The DCSS program is often referred to as the IV-D program. Family Code Section 17200 establishes DCSS in California by stating “The Department of Child Support Services is hereby created within the California Health and Human Servi

ces Agency. The department shall administer all services and perform all functions necessary to establish, collect, and distribute child support.”

We're excited to kick off the new school year with our annual Back to School Bash today August 5, 2026, from 3:00PM to 7:00PM at Jensen Hall, Lassen County Fairgrounds!
Our goal is to help local student's start the school year prepared and confident, and we couldn't do it without the support of our community.
We look forward to seeing you there and working together to support Lassen County students and families!!!!
