Real, lasting change doesn't happen in isolation. It happens when organizations, community leaders, and advocates come together with a shared commitment to creating opportunities and removing barriers for the people we serve.
MDC is proud to be an active partner in the Pierce County Engagement Task Force, working alongside dedicated organizations throughout Tacoma, Pierce County, and neighboring King and Thurston counties to strengthen services, expand access to resources, and create meaningful pathways to success.
Each month, the Task Force brings partners together to tackle some of our region's most pressing challenges, from reentry and second chances to youth employment, housing stability, workforce development, and economic opportunity.
But these conversations are about more than identifying challenges. They're about turning collaboration into action. By connecting programs, sharing resources, and building stronger partnerships, we're helping bridge gaps in services and ensuring more individuals and families have access to the support they need to thrive.
Since 1964, MDC has stood alongside the Tacoma community, empowering individuals, strengthening families, and creating pathways toward stability and self-sufficiency. More than six decades later, that commitment remains at the heart of everything we do.
Because when we work together, we don't just strengthen individual programs. We strengthen entire communities.
