Members were out this evening doing a little bit of training. We reviewed equipment location on Rescue and Engine 95 with 2 new members, and then moved on to reviewing and stretching set back lines for fire attack.

Thursday evening, Rescue 95 was summoned by Taylor Police to assist in rescuing a kitten stuck inside a wall. The kitten somehow made its way inside a wall from the 1st floor apartment and was located stuck behind a shower wall in the 2nd floor bathroom. The kitten was successfully rescued and reunited with its family unharmed.

Thank you Hughestown Emergency Services Engine 143 for relocating and covering the tri-boro while units operated on a structure fire.

While firefighters from Lower Lackawanna County battled a multi-alarm structure fire in Moosic, Engine 143 relocated to Station 98 to help ensure uninterrupted fire protection for the Tri-Boro area.

While Engine 143 was standing by in Lackawanna County, Squad 143-3 and Ambulance 543-1 remained fully staffed in quarters, providing continuous emergency coverage for Hughestown and our surrounding communities.

Mutual aid is more than responding to emergencies—it's neighbors helping neighbors to ensure every community remains protected when resources are stretched.
