π Feel-Good Friday Employee Spotlight: Meet Chanelle Green
This Feel-Good Friday, we're proud to spotlight Chanelle Green, a dedicated AMPO Public Safety Officer, devoted mother, and inspiring example of determination, resilience, and personal growth.
Since joining Lucas Metropolitan Housing in November 2023, Chanelle has become an important part of our team, helping ensure the safety and well-being of our residents, staff, and communities. Her journey is a testament to what can happen when hard work, perseverance, and opportunity come together.
Before joining LMH, Chanelle earned certifications in EKG, Phlebotomy, Patient Care, and Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA). A High School Honors Graduate, she continued her education at Davis College, graduating with honors in Medical Assisting while earning recognition on both the Dean's List and Principal's List.
We recently sat down with Chanelle to learn more about her inspiring journey.
(1) What has motivated you to keep pushing forward through every stage of your life?
"I love learning new information and developing new skills. I've always known what I wanted for myself and my family, and I've always wanted to become the best version of myself possible. Being able to provide for my son and help others motivates me every day. I truly believe knowledge can change your life, and the right information can open doors you never thought possible."
(2) How did becoming a mother change your perspective on success and your future?
"The birth of my son gave me an extra push to keep going and strive to be the best mother and stepmother I can be. It strengthened my desire to provide for my family and create memories that will last a lifetime. I want my children to know that anything is possible when you combine hard work, dedication, and belief in yourself."
(3) What has your journey at LMH been like, and how has it impacted your growth?
"My journey at LMH has been filled with learning opportunities. I've gained valuable knowledge about systems, ethics, and crisis intervention while developing skills that help me both on and off the job. Being able to apply what I've learned to help individuals in need has been rewarding and has contributed to both my personal and professional growth."
(4) What advice would you give to someone who may be struggling to believe in themselves?
"Believe in yourself and know that you are capable, no matter what anyone else says. Surround yourself with positive people and positive influences. If something isn't helping you grow, don't be afraid to make a change. Remember, you're not having a bad dayβyou're having a bad moment. Stay focused, keep pushing forward, and trust that your hard work and perseverance will pay off."
(5) What's next for Chanelle?
"While I'm proud of what I've accomplished so far, I'm excited about what's ahead. My next goal is to return to school for Social Work, earn my master's degree, and eventually become a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW). My dream is to open my own private practice and help others. The sky is the limit, and my goal is always to be better than I was the year before."
Chanelle's story reminds us that growth is a journey, not a destination. Through education, perseverance, faith in herself, and a commitment to serving others, she continues to create opportunities for her family and make a positive impact within our community.
Thank you, Chanelle, for your dedication to LMH and for helping keep our residents and communities safe. We are proud to have you on our team.
π Congratulations, Chanelle, and thank you for all that you do!
