⏰📚A reminder that our Read-a-thon ends TOMORROW!! There are 2 parts to this event:

1. Bikes for books - if your students is hoping to win a bicycle, be sure they turn in any tickets for minutes they've read at home. 📚🎟️🚲

2. FOWC Fundraiser - This is our final fundraiser of the year! Please consider donating if able and/or share the link with family, friends, neighbors, etc who would like to support your child's reading efforts and the work of our PTO! 📚💵🥰

TODAY IS THE DAY!! 🌸🌼🌿🍅🫑
Find the 5th grade fundraisers in front of the school this afternoon with a variety of plants for purchase! All plants have been planted/propagated and cared for by 5th grade students and parents and ALL proceeds are going directly to end-of-year activities for their class!

A reminder that we are collecting funds through this coming Friday, 5/22 for our Read-a-thon! Included in this post is an online payment option through CheddarUp, but we are also accepting cash and checks sent in with students or mailed to FOWC at 19 Perkins St!

🛝🍂Playground Clean-up Day SUCCESS. Removing the sticks, large limbs, trash, and so many pine needles helps keep our playground clean and safe for student and staff use.

👏We were supported by a lot of helping hands. Many thanks to the following families: Lelands, Porters, Richards, McGregors, Pontaus, Veits, Greenleafs, Jordans, and our event coordinators, Robertsons and Prides. A special thanks to Jess & Ben for providing lunch to our full-day helpers. This event would not be possible without the support of Mr. Stoner, Mrs. Richards, Ms. Pam, Mr. Johansen, and the MSAD 75 Facilities Department.

Playground Clean-Up Day is BACK!

Join us Saturday, May 16th, between 9 AM - 3 PM, as we do a much-needed pick-up of our playground and prepare the space for Ms. Martin's Field Days!

⭐Good luck to the Brainy Book Bananas - Ava P, Quincy B, & Emmett S. who are competing against 3 other teams in the State final for Maine Battle of the Books this week!!

🏆BBB had to win our district competition as well as a regional round to get this far! Way to go!!

✨ Final Day of Teacher Appreciation Week: SWEET SUCCESS! 🍭🧁

We wrapped up an incredible week by treating our amazing WCS staff to a Dessert Day featuring delicious homemade goodies from our wonderful parent volunteers! Huge thanks to everyone who baked and donated! 👩‍🍳👨‍🍳

Students also handed out special "Bring this to a staff member who..." beaded necklaces today, giving staff members fun, interactive appreciation tokens to wear proudly and exchange throughout the day with colleagues! 📿💖

The highlight? Finishing our week-long prize raffle! ALL WCS staff won prizes throughout the week!! Today we announced 6 lucky bonus big-ticket gift card winners PLUS 1 very lucky winner of a highly coveted and generous package to Wilcox Wellness & Fitness ! 🎁🎉

Thank you to everyone who made this week "so sweet!"

Dive Deep into Lunch! 🌊🥪
Today, the Learning Commons was transformed into an Under the Sea escape for our Day 4 Teacher Appreciation luncheon! A chance to step away from the classroom and dine among the adorable sea life centerpieces courtesy of volunteers and students artwork!

We served up a massive "catch" from The Bakeshop Maine featuring:
🥪 Gourmet Sandwich Platters: Piled high with all your favorite artisan fillings.
🥗 Crisp Seasonal Salads: Refreshing, light, and delicious.
🍪 Decadent Dessert Trays: A treasure trove of sweets, cookies, and pastries!

Many many thanks to The Bakeshop for once again donating this incredible spread to our staff!!
