There are three qualifiers for membership in the VFW, as set out in our By-Laws. They are as follows:

1: Citizenship – must be a U.S.

Who We Are
The Veterans of Foreign Wars of the United States is a nonprofit veterans service organization comprised of eligible veterans and military service members from the active, guard and reserve forces. An individual must meet all three in order to become a member. citizen or U.S. National.

2: Honorable Service – must have served in the Armed Forces of the United States and either received

a discharge of Honorable or General (Under Honorable Conditions) or be currently
serving.

3: Service in a war, campaign, or expedition on foreign soil or in hostile waters*. This can be proven by any of the following:

- An authorized campaign medal (see a full list of qualifying medals and badges)
- Receipt of Hostile Fire Pay or Imminent Danger Pay (verified by a military pay statement)
- Service in Korea for 30 consecutive or 60 non-consecutive days

*This information is usually available through a veteran’s DD-214. If other information is needed or if a veteran’s DD-214 is not complete, they can contact the National Personnel Records Center online or at 314-801-0800 to request more information.

Thursday night bingo at VFW Post 3792, Townsend is around the corner.
Last week we had 77 people, we only have seat for 80 available. So if your coming don’t be late.

Doors open at 6 pm close at 7:20 or we reach max limit.

Here's what we have going on!!

$500.00 is a must go Thursdays. If no one wins during the regular games. A special game will be played.

$500.00 over 60 players for the jackpot game.

$250.00 for the U-pick under 24 numbers

$1100 in cash game prizes

on the Menu:
Turkey sub, ham and cheese sub, chef salad or garden salad, jumbo hotdogs and assorted desserts are on the menu.

Huge Shout out to you Winners from Last Week! Maybe this week it will be YOU!! *Must be 18 or older to play. Each Guest must be an active player. No sharing of books.

**No outside food is permitted. Non-Alcoholic Beverages are ok.

Join us tomorrow, Sunday May 31st!!!
9 Ball Tournament. RACE to 38!
Doors open at 11 am for practice with games starting at 1230ish. Each team will have a race to 38 balls, alternating shots with your assigned partner. Cost is $10.00 each player.. Winner split 60/40 with second place. Your APA handicap will be used when you check in. High handicap will be matched with low handicap to balance the teams.
