♻️Upcoming Saturday Dates for the Recycling Drop-off Center

The Drop-off Recycling Center is open two Saturdays each month by appointment only.

Appointments become available to reserve two weeks before each drop-off date.
- The October 24 date is open now,
- the November 7 date will open for reservations this Saturday, on October 24,
- the November 21 date will open for reservations on November 7,
- the December 5 date will open for reservations on November 21, and
- the December 19 date will open for reservations on December 5.

Many of your take-out packaging can be recycled! Refer to our guide below to learn what should be trashed and what can be recycled. Just make sure everything you recycle is free of food and liquid. If an item is too challenging to clean and still holds food or liquid residue, dispose of it in the trash.

SOCRRA offers a Self-Service Paper Shredder for residents of our 12 member communities and select nearby areas. Securely dispose of personal documents at our Recycling Drop-Off Center in Troy – by appointment only!

: How you dispose of household cleaners depends on the item and whether it still contains product.

🧴 Household cleaners & chemical products:
• Still contains product? It’s considered household hazardous waste (HHW). Keep the nozzle on the bottle and bring it to SOCRRA's HHW Drop-off Recycling Center (make an appointment: www.socrra.org)
• Empty bottle? Leave the nozzle on and place the bottle in your curbside recycling bin.

🫧 Aerosol cans
• Full or partially full: HHW
• Completely empty: Recycle

🧼 Disinfecting wipes
• Empty plastic container: Recycle
• Used wipes: Trash—not recycling

🧹 Cleaning tools
• Rags → Trash
• Sponges → Trash
• Toilet brushes → Trash
• Brooms & dustpans → Trash
