Today, we had the pleasure of welcoming five new officers to the Troy Police Department!

City of Troy Government Clerk Dickson officially swore in Officers Owczarzak, Davila, Neubauer, McCandlish, and Foerster.

All five officers will begin Field Training this week.

The classics are already starting to hit the road! 🚘

With the Woodward Dream Cruise happening tomorrow, expect to see plenty of classic cars, cruisers, and extra traffic throughout the area.

Whether you're behind the wheel of something built in 1967 or 2026, the rules haven't changed: buckle up, put the phone down, watch your speed, and enjoy the ride responsibly.

Today we remember Officer William McCabe.

Officer McCabe died on August 12, 2017, as a result of injuries he sustained in the line of duty in 2002. Officer McCabe was struck by a vehicle in the intersection of Big Beaver and Crooks, while on a marked police motorcycle. The driver had run a red light. Officer McCabe was a highly decorated and respected officer, honored as the Police Officer of the Year in 2002. Officer McCabe is survived by his wife and three children.

We’re incredibly grateful to live and work in a community that continues to show up and support such a great cause.
