Members of the Pascua Pueblo Fire Department hosted Prevention Officers from the Northwest Fire District for a comprehensive walkthrough of Casino Del Sol, focusing on the facility’s Fire Command Center and Rescue Air System.

As the first high-rise hotel in Southern Arizona to install a Rescue Air System, the 10-story tower serves as an excellent example of how advanced fire protection features can enhance firefighter safety and emergency operations. The system includes a dedicated cascade capable of filling up to 60 SCBA cylinders at 4,500 psi, supplied by a standalone compressor with air connection points located in the stairwells on both sides of the tower.

These collaborative visits provide valuable opportunities to share knowledge, strengthen regional partnerships, and enhance our collective preparedness for complex emergency incidents.

☀️💦 End of the School Year Water Days! 💦☀️

Last Friday, May 15th, your Pascua Pueblo firefighters had the pleasure of helping celebrate the end of the school year with Water Days at Ocotillo Elementary and Grijalva Elementary! 🏫🚒

It was a fun-filled day of water activities, laughter, and community connection as we helped students kick off summer break the right way.

We’re grateful to our schools, staff, and families for allowing us to be part of these special memories for our youth. Seeing all the smiles made it a truly rewarding day for our firefighters.

🔥 Brush Fire Response –
Pascua Pueblo Fire Department 🔥

Today, crews responded to a brush fire approximately 40x40 in size in a large desert area. Thanks to the quick response and decisive actions of our B-Shift personnel, the fire was brought under control rapidly, preventing further spread.

As we move into the warmer months, conditions become increasingly dry—creating a higher risk for brush fires. We encourage our community to stay vigilant:
• Avoid open flames in dry areas
• Properly dispose of ci******es
• Be cautious with equipment that may spark
• Report smoke or fire immediately

Your safety is our priority. Stay aware, stay prepared, and help us keep our community safe.
