Crazy. They practically live in that spot along the Mare Island San Pablo Bay Trail. What’s the big deal?! Deer were thought to be extirpated from Mare Island by the US Navy, some 50+ years ago. They are still rare sightings. Anyone want a better view?! Fix or replace our nonprofit’s broken phone!

Last night leaving a friend’s apartment, I was beyond delighted to meet up with our Mare Island Shoreline Heritage Preserve beloved(mostly) late dog, Nitro, reincarnated in this darling 6 month old puppy named Lok. ❤️❤️❤️🐕🐕🐕

THIS is what “suspicious activity” looks like! I’m so proud that I snuck this video in last Wednesday, September 23, 2026 just minutes before I was arrested for unknown reasons by the Vallejo PD in the process of locking up the Mare Island San Pablo Bay Trail. If it is the city employee I think it is, he told police dispatch, according to a police press release that “this” was suspicious activity that appeared to be casing the property to steal copper. Haha! I think the old saying, “when you assume, you make an “ass” out of “u” and “me”, applies here. I paid the price with an arrest and 12 hours in jail and a concussion and other medical conditions. It’s just a matter of time before the price of engaging in this police brutality will cost them more than it costed me. In the meantime, I sincerely hope you are informed and inspired by my video. And that your heart is moved by this precious part of our Mare Island Shoreline Heritage Preserve history. These guard shacks are the original entrance to our wildlands park.
