The Hampton Roads Black Caucus was established in 2012 with the purpose of promoting the political initiatives of the Black Community in the Hampton Roads area. The intent of the Hampton Roads Black Caucus is to endorse candidates who support the ideas values, and mission of the Black Community through economic, education, and political initiatives. The goal of Hampton Roads Black Caucus is to rai

se support to support these candidates that best represent the goals of our organization. Become a part of a movement to empower our voice as a community! Affect positive change for Black-owned business growth, economic development, and educational advancement! Contribute to the development of our community by working with us to build relationships with current and future community leaders, and public servants! Learn the issues, follow the local elections, and have a powerful unified “say” in the process!

We invite you to join us for Neighbors of Hope, a community resource drive on Friday, August 14th from 10:00AM-2:00PM at the YWCA located at 1003 Norfolk Square.

No item or donation is too small. If you’re unable to attend the resource drive, we are also accepting tax-deductible donations which can be easily made at www.ywca-shr.org/donate. 🧡🤍

**** We have gotten a few more kiddos into shelter. Can you help get them ready for the first day of school***

It's that time of the year and we are preparing for a new school year. Every child likes to go to the first day of school with a new outfit. Our shelter kids are no different! Would you consider selecting a child a purchasing a new back to school outfit for them?
You can scan the QR code on the flyer or you can click on the link below. We ask that all outfits are returned on August 11 or 12 so the kiddos will have them for the first day of school (which seems to come earlier and earlier each year!).

These items can be purchased directly through our Amazon Wish list at https://a.co/9dFUcr3. In the Gift Message at checkout, please include your name and contact information for acknowledgments for tax purposes.

We ask that all items be brand new for our program participants. Donations can also be dropped off to our Donation Department from Monday-Friday from 10a-3p. Please do not leave donations of your items outside of our building.
