This is the fiscal responsibility I am talking about and would like to join for the benefit of the taxpayers and students of District 8. Thank you Kathleen Brown - Chair, Virginia Beach School Board - District 10!
When the estimated cost of a major school construction project came in far higher than expected, I joined former SB member Shannon Kendrick in pushing for a better and more fiscally responsible solution: additions to existing schools instead of building a new building.
The result is an updated (ground-breaking soon!) learning environment, significant cost savings, reduced long-term administrative expenses and freeing up funding to get to other projects sooner.
