McIntosh Memorial Library is excited to announce the Youth Summer Reading Challenge—a fantastic way for kids and teens to dive into the wild world of “Unearth a Story!” 🦖📚
Starting next week on Monday, our Youth Services team will be in the Viroqua schools to talk about this summers program with our youth and hand out our reading tracker bookmarks!
From May 20 to July 31, our library will host books, activities, and programs all about dinosaurs, archaeology, and geology, inspired by the national theme from the Collaborative Summer Library Program.
Two Challenges, Endless Adventures
We’ve created two separate challenges to keep every young reader engaged:
🌟 Challenge 1: Ages Birth–10
Goal: Read 24 books and track your progress by coloring in a fun bookmark!
Prizes:
🥇 1st Place: A 4-foot-tall dinosaur stuffie
🥈 2nd Place: A dinosaur-themed prize basket from the Viroqua Public Market
Bonus: Every completed bookmark earns you a free book from our special youth book cart!
🌟 Challenge 2: Ages 10–18
Goal: Read 36 books to unlock amazing prizes!
Prizes:
🥇 1st Place: A brand-new Amazon Kindle
🥈 2nd Place: A LEGO Triceratops set
Bonus: Every completed bookmark earns you a free book from our special youth book cart!
