Join us on June 26 and 27, 2026, for a vibrant celebration of America 250 in Wakarusa, Indiana! This fun-filled weekend will begin with the traditional America at the Ball Park featuring Wakarusa Baseball League and fireworks following the games. This year we will be adding patriotic DJ music to the fireworks display. Don't miss it!!

This next day takes place Downton Wakarusa and will be packed with a variety of events that cater to all ages and interests.

Start your morning with the lively parade that features colorful entries and community groups, particularly Wakarusa Baseball League teams and their coaches showcasing their 50+ years of spirit and pride. If you have a golf cart, enter it into the most patriotic golf cart competition and display it with all of the other Wakarusa Golf Carts. Let's see who wins this prize!! Following the parade, indulge your taste buds at our diverse selection of food trucks offering everything from gourmet bites to classic festival favorites. Speaking of food, don't forget to enter into the pie and pickle eating contests. Some good old-fashioned fun! Contact Town Manager for more information about how to enter!

As the festivities continue, enjoy music throughout the day, featuring a DJ and a stage filled with live bands to keep the energy high all day long. This talent bill is impressive...DON'T MISS IT!

You will also experience our farmers' market, where you can find fresh produce, handmade crafts, and unique local products. Word has it, there will be fresh roasted corn on the cob!! Yum!!!!

For those looking for some friendly (or not so friendly) competition, participate in the thrilling water ball competition, teams will strive to win bragging rights and prizes. This feature alone promises to be a lot of fun for all who watch and/or participate! Contact Rob Slagle to sign your team up for this event as well!

Our downtown merchants will also be open, inviting you to browse their shops and enjoy their offerings throughout the day.
