Wakarusa Indiana In 1836, rural Olive Township was formed in western Elkhart County, and in 1849, as the population grew, a post office named Mt. Olive opened.

After more population growth, a new village named Salem was established to prevent people from having to travel

The vendor lineup for tomorrow’s market! Only 6 more markets left of the outdoor season! Come out and support local business and shop our downtown businesses while you are in town. There is also a school supply fundraiser going on at the Hill at Memorial Park. There will be 2 giant slides for everyone to slide down and there will be food trucks. There is a lot to do in Wakarusa tomorrow. Bring the Family and linger longer for a while!

Notre Dame vs. North Carolina Tailgate is coming to Downtown Wakarusa on Saturday, October 3rd! Co****le Tournament — fun for all! Best Tailgate Contest — show off your spirit!
