The Wareham Redevelopment Authority would like to publicly recognize and thank Faded Image Barbershop for the tremendous success of its free back-to-school haircut-and-backpack event.

Through the generosity of its barbers, supporters, and volunteers, more than 90 local children received free haircuts, backpacks, and school supplies, helping them begin the school year feeling confident and prepared. This level of community involvement is truly something to be admired.

In recognition of this outstanding contribution to Wareham, the Redevelopment Authority is pleased to present the Faded Image team with six pack of ticket to a Boston Red Sox game.

Thank you for investing your time, talent, and energy in Wareham’s children and families. We wish you continued success and the very best of luck with your future community events!

Chapter 2 is now live: What Does Zoning Actually Regulate?

Have you ever wondered why one property can have a business while the one next door can only have a house? Or why buildings in different parts of Wareham follow different rules?

In this chapter, I explain what zoning actually regulates, why those rules exist, and just as importantly, what zoning doesn’t regulate.

My goal with this series is to make zoning easier to understand for everyone—not just planners, engineers, or attorneys. Whether you’re a homeowner, business owner, or simply interested in how Wareham grows and develops, I hope you’ll find these videos helpful.

Many of us have heard the word “zoning” but few of us know where it came from, why it exist, or how it affects our community.

Over the coming weeks, I'll be releasing a series of sh*tty videos explaining Wareham’s zooming bylaw in plain language. My goal is to help the residents better understand how zoning would, why Wareham has its own zoning bylaw, and why the town is currently working to update it.
