🚨🚨 In anticipation of the upcoming heatwave, Wareham Emergency Management will operate a cooling center at the Multi-Service Center, located at 48 Marion Rd., on Thursday, July 2nd, and Friday, July 3rd, from 12:00 PM to 3:30 PM.

Some friendly reminders:

☀️ Stay hydrated by drinking plenty of water—even if you don't feel thirsty.
🏠 Limit outdoor activities during the hottest part of the day (10 AM–4 PM) when possible.
❄️ Spend time in air-conditioned buildings or cool areas if you don't have air conditioning at home.
👕 Wear lightweight, light-colored clothing and sunscreen when outdoors.
👶 Check on children, older adults, neighbors, and anyone who may be more vulnerable to the heat.
🐾 Make sure pets have plenty of fresh water and shade, and avoid walking them on hot pavement.
🚗 Never leave children or pets in a parked vehicle—not even for a minute. Temperatures inside a vehicle can become deadly in just a few minutes.

A little preparation can go a long way in keeping our community safe. Stay cool, stay hydrated, and look out for one another!
