WUES 5th Grade Families — we owe you a little apology! 💙💛

Last night during Spirit Night, we had a special surprise planned for our 5th graders after their promotion ceremony… and in all the excitement, we forgot to share the details with our shift lead. Totally our mistake!

We want to make it right. If your 5th grader — now a rising 6th grader! Woo hoo! 🎉 — attended Spirit Night, please have them stop back by Dollar Cone with their report card by Sunday, June 15 so they can still receive their surprise.

We also want to say a HUGE thank you to everyone who came out for Spirit Night! It was a great success, and we are so proud of this community for showing up in such a big way to support WUES. 💙💛

Join us Friday, June 5th as the 3rd Annual Battle of the Waxhaws American Revolution Weekend begins with one of Waxhaw’s most unforgettable traditions — the march into downtown.

Reenactors, cavalry, music, and living history will make their way through Waxhaw’s historic district, bringing the sights and spirit of 1780 into the heart of our community. It’s a powerful reminder that history isn’t just something we read about — here in Waxhaw, we get to see it, hear it, and walk alongside it.

Bring your family and friends and help us welcome history back to Waxhaw!

Then join us all weekend at the Museum of the Waxhaws for the Battle of the Waxhaws reenactment, living history demonstrations, encampments, cavalry, artillery, food, vendors, and more.
