The LRGVDC extends its sincere appreciation to Mayor Norie Gonzalez Garza for her dedicated service as President of the LRGVDC Board of Directors. Throughout her tenure, Mayor Garza provided steadfast leadership, guidance, and unwavering commitment to the region during a particularly challenging and uncertain year. Her active involvement and collaborative approach helped move the organization forward while navigating significant funding challenges and operational uncertainties.

We are deeply grateful for her service, vision, and continued support of the communities we serve across the region. Her leadership has helped strengthen the foundation of the LRGVDC and positioned the organization for continued progress and success.

As we turn the page to a new chapter, we are also pleased to welcome Judge Aurelio β€œKeter” Guerra of Willacy County as the new President of the LRGVDC Board of Directors. We look forward to working alongside Judge Guerra under his leadership to continue enhancing existing programs, advancing regional collaboration, and implementing new initiatives that will benefit the residents of the Lower Rio Grande Valley.

Leadership transitions are an important opportunity to build upon past accomplishments while continuing to pursue innovation and regional partnerships that strengthen our communities. We remain committed to our mission of serving the region through cooperation, planning, and strategic initiatives that improve quality of life for all.

Thank you, Mayor Norie Gonzalez Garza, for your exceptional leadership and service, and welcome Judge Guerra as we continue moving the region forward together.

β™»οΈπŸŒŽ Old tires can become NEW opportunities!

This May, let’s work together to keep our communities cleaner, safer, and healthier by promoting innovative tire reuse and recycling. From garden planters and playground equipment to road construction and erosion control, recycled tires can have a second life that benefits everyone. πŸ›žπŸ’š

Improperly discarded tires can collect standing water, attract mosquitoes, create fire hazards, and harm our environment. Small actions today can help protect future generations tomorrow.

βœ… Reuse old tires creatively
βœ… Recycle tires responsibly
βœ… Help reduce mosquito breeding
βœ… Keep our neighborhoods clean

Together, we can turn waste into possibilities! πŸŒ±β™»οΈ
