Today, we pause to honor and remember the brave men and women who gave everything in defense of our nation and our communities.

Their sacrifice reminds us of the strength, resilience, and unity that continue to define our country.

As we gather with family and friends this weekend, may we also take a moment to remember the fallen, honor their service, and support the families who carry their legacy forward.

We remember. We honor. We will never forget.

🚒 Celebrating EMS Week: May 17–23, 2026 💙
This week, we want to share our deepest gratitude for the incredible Emergency Medical Services professionals who keep our community safe.
A special, heartfelt thank you goes out to our external EMS partners, as well as the dedicated members within our own fire department family who proudly wear both hats as firefighters and EMS providers.
In public safety, we know that seconds save lives. Whether responding to a medical emergency or working scenes together, your skill, calm under pressure, and compassion make all the difference. True to this year’s theme, we are "Improving Outcomes, Together."
To all the EMS workers serving our community—both on our roster and alongside us—thank you for your tireless dedication and sacrifice. You are true everyday heroes!

Today, for International Firefighters Day, we take a moment to recognize the service and sacrifice of the men & women who protect the lives & property of our community.

Across the world, on May 4, we stand united by a profound sense of remembrance and respect.

International Firefighters’ Day is more than a date.
It is a shared global moment — a moment to pause.

To remember and honour the lives of those who have passed.
To commemorate the courage and commitment of those who serve today.
To educate and inspire those who will serve in the future.

This day provides us with space to reflect on courage, on service freely given without expectation, and on lives lost while protecting others.

A life lived in service of others is never forgotten.

The legacy of those we honour does not fade with time. It lives on in the values they embodied and in the communities they protected.

Wherever May 4 finds you today, we thank you.
