Executive Director Retirement and Job Search

Wheeling, WV—Faith in Action Caregivers, Inc. announces the retirement plans of its Executive Director, Yvonne Verno, effective May 29, 2026. Yvonne, who has led the nonprofit organization since 2016, said, “It has been an honor to provide support for the many individuals in need in our communities. The relationships I have been able to build with our care receivers, volunteers and our community will always be in my heart. “To the Board of Directors, thank you for entrusting this incredible agency in my hands and heart. Faith in Action will continue to be a unique and needed agency in the Ohio Valley which will continue to support and serve those in need in our communities,” she added. Board President Carol Obermann remarked, “For almost 10 years, Yvonne has been an instrumental f igure in the success of Faith in Action Caregivers, Inc. Her tireless dedication to Faith in Action’s mission has resulted in a streamlining of administration, a strengthening of our financial position, and the enriching of the lives of volunteers and care receivers alike. Her leadership, vision, and commitment have been invaluable, and she will be greatly missed. We wish Yvonne the very best in her retirement.” “We are so grateful that Yvonne began having these conversations with us over a year ago,” said the Rev. Kenneth Hardway, who chairs the Transition Team. “This has given us invaluable time to prepare our organization for the future.”
