As we celebrate this year, we can also look ahead to America’s 250th anniversary and all the hope it brings. It is a chance to keep building something good together.

We enjoyed hosting the West Virginia Mothers and Babies Support Program at our Elkins location today. Our Regional Director, Jeremy Wanless, and his dedicated teams across Elkins, Martinsburg, Kingwood, and Romney are truly passionate about providing life-changing care—from food distribution and emergency utility assistance to counseling that connects neighbors with vital resources.

Learning practical skills that make a difference! 🧺✨

Today, Northern Region Director Ashlie and Wheeling Outreach Specialist Hollieann had the opportunity to teach a Homemade Laundry Detergent class for clients at YWCA Wheeling.

The class focused on an easy, cost-effective way to make laundry detergent at home, helping families stretch their budgets while still keeping their clothes clean. Participants left with the knowledge, recipes, and confidence to make their own detergent and save money on everyday household expenses.

Any civic groups, nonprofits, public programs, local governments, etc. located in Greenbrier, Monroe, or Pocahontas Counties that need of some volunteer service for a day are welcome to submit projects!
