Big appreciation to Kelli Ward, Nichole Cogar and Joshlynn Fouser for doing a food drive and took up money for our food pantry. We appreciate any community support, and it plays a vital role in helping us serve our community.

The Fourth of July is all about good food, laughter, and time with the people you love.

It is also a great reminder of what makes a community strong. Neighbors who check in, people who make space for one another, and everyday moments of kindness that bring us closer together.

As we celebrate this year, we can also look ahead to America’s 250th anniversary and all the hope it brings. It is a chance to keep building something good together.

If you can, reach out to a neighbor or share a small act of kindness today. It does not have to be big to make a difference. Sometimes the simplest gestures mean the most!❤️🙏

Our Regional Director, Jeremy Wanless, and his dedicated teams across Elkins, Martinsburg, Kingwood, and Romney are truly passionate about providing life-changing care—from food distribution and emergency utility assistance to counseling that connects neighbors with vital resources.

Thank you for visiting us, highlighting our work, and partnering with us to bring compassionate, tangible help to our West Virginia communities! ❤️

Learning practical skills that make a difference! 🧺✨

Today, Northern Region Director Ashlie and Wheeling Outreach Specialist Hollieann had the opportunity to teach a Homemade Laundry Detergent class for clients at YWCA Wheeling.

The class focused on an easy, cost-effective way to make laundry detergent at home, helping families stretch their budgets while still keeping their clothes clean. Participants left with the knowledge, recipes, and confidence to make their own detergent and save money on everyday household expenses.

At Catholic Charities West Virginia, we’re committed to empowering individuals and families with practical tools that promote self-sufficiency and financial stability. Thank you to the YWCA for partnering with us to make this class possible! 💙🫧
