Yesterday was the District’s first GATE advocate meeting, bringing together dedicated leaders from each of our schools to create meaningful, engaging, and enriching experiences for our gifted and talented students. 💡📚

Today, on the 25th anniversary of September 11, 2001, we pause to remember the 2,977 lives lost and honor the courage of the first responders, service members, and everyday Americans who showed extraordinary bravery in the face of tragedy.

Twenty-five years later, we continue to reflect on the strength, unity, and compassion our nation showed in the days that followed. We honor the families who carry the memories of their loved ones forward and the many who answered the call to serve.

May we continue to teach future generations the importance of remembrance, service, courage, and coming together as a community.

We Remember. We Honor. We Never Forget. 🇺🇸

Happy Labor Day from Whittier City School District!

In observance of Labor Day, all WCSD schools and offices will be closed on Monday, September 7.

We hope our students, families, and staff enjoy the long weekend and some well-deserved time to relax, recharge, and spend time together.

We look forward to welcoming everyone back on Tuesday!

☀️ HOT WEATHER ALERT ☀️

With high temperatures expected this week, Whittier City School District is taking extra steps to help keep our students safe, cool, and ready to learn!
Families can help by:

💧 Sending students to school with a refillable water bottle
👕 Choosing lightweight, breathable clothing
☀️ Applying sunscreen before school
🗣️ Reminding students to let an adult know if they are feeling too hot or uncomfortable

At school, our staff will continue monitoring weather conditions, adjusting outdoor activities as needed, providing opportunities for water and shade, and keeping students comfortable throughout the school day.
