As we close another incredible school year, we want to thank our students, families, and staff for making 2025-26 such a memorable year.

💙 To our dedicated staff, thank you for your hard work, commitment, and care for our students every day.

🎓 To our outgoing 8th graders, we wish you the very best as you begin your high school journey!

🏫 To the new families joining the Whittier City School District for the 2026-27 school year, welcome to the WCSD family!

👏 We also extend our heartfelt gratitude to Superintendent Dr. Brad Mason for his years of leadership and service to our district. We wish him a happy and well-deserved retirement.

TODAY!

We are excited to invite you to our Pop Up Festival, a special event celebrating the hard work and talent of our students across all performing arts programs.

Throughout the evening, you will enjoy performances from our:
Choirs
Bands
Dance Teams

In addition to the performances, our art teachers will be providing free, hands-on art activities for families to enjoy together.

We will also have vendors and food trucks available, offering a variety of food and items for purchase.
This is a wonderful opportunity to come together as a community and celebrate our students’ creativity and achievements. We hope to see you there! NOTE: Students must have an adult with them to attend.

Tuesday’s celebration honored the outstanding employees across the Whittier City School District whose dedication, passion, and commitment make a lasting impact on our students, families, schools, and community each and every day.

We are proud to recognize District Teacher of the Year Mark Taylor and District Classified Employee of the Year Luz Ruiz alongside the many exceptional employees celebrated during the evening.

It’s a wrap! Thank you to all of our talented students who contributed their artwork and a big thank you to the staff who dedicated their time to organize and orchestrate the WCSD art show. Thank you to the Board of Education, families, staff, and administrators who came to support our students. Tonight’s art show featured both the Hoover and Dexter choirs. Their beautiful voices were just what we needed to hear this evening!
