In observance of Juneteenth, there will be no summer school programs on Friday, June 19. Summer school classes and programs will resume on Monday, June 22. Juneteenth commemorates June 19, 1865, when enslaved people in Texas learned they were free, marking the effective end of slavery in the United States. Today, it is recognized as a federal holiday honoring freedom, resilience, and the ongoing pursuit of equality.

En observancia de Juneteenth, no habrá programas de escuela de verano el viernes 19 de junio. Las clases y programas de escuela de verano se reanudarán el lunes 22 de junio.
Juneteenth conmemora el 19 de junio de 1865, cuando las personas esclavizadas en Texas se enteraron de que eran libres, marcando el fin de la esclavitud en los Estados Unidos. Hoy se reconoce como un día festivo federal que honra la libertad, la fortaleza y la búsqueda continua de la igualdad.

⚽🌎 As the world comes together to celebrate the beautiful game, we're looking back at a special soccer moment right here in ERUSD.
Earlier this year, students at Birney Tech Academy celebrated the opening of a new mini pitch alongside soccer legend and National Soccer Hall of Famer Landon Donovan. Thanks to the partnership between the U.S. Soccer Foundation, LA Galaxy Foundation, and ERUSD, students now have an exciting space to play, learn, and build lifelong healthy habits through the game of soccer.

En abril, los estudiantes de Birney Tech Academy celebraron la llegada de una nueva mini cancha de fútbol junto a la leyenda del fútbol y miembro del Salón de la Fama del Fútbol Nacional, Landon Donovan. Last night, we celebrated more than a graduation — we celebrated years of hard work, unforgettable memories, lifelong friendships, and a class that proudly carried on the Don tradition. Surrounded by their families, friends, teachers, and community, our graduates crossed the stage ready to take on new opportunities and write the next chapter of their story. ✨

Last night, we celebrated a journey marked by perseverance, resilience, growth, and achievement as our graduates crossed the stage surrounded by the support of their families, friends, staff, and community. The Salazar Class of 2026 has shown what it means to overcome challenges, support one another, and move forward with determination and heart. From familiar hallways to graduation week 🎓💙❤️

As part of ERUSD’s Grad Walk tradition, graduating seniors returned to the elementary schools where their educational journeys began and were welcomed by younger students, teachers, and staff who cheered them on every step of the way.

For many younger students, these moments offered a glimpse of what their own futures can hold. For the Class of 2026, it was a chance to reflect on how far they’ve come and the school communities that helped shape them along the way.

This week, graduates from Ruben Salazar High School and El Rancho High School will walk across the graduation stage as the next chapter of their journey begins.

De los pasillos conocidos a la semana de graduación 🎓💙❤️

Como parte de la tradición de Grad Walk en ERUSD, estudiantes del último año regresaron a las escuelas primarias donde comenzó su trayectoria educativa y fueron recibidos por estudiantes, maestros y empleados que los felicitaron con mucho orgullo y emoción.

Para muchos estudiantes más pequeños, estos momentos representaron una oportunidad para imaginar su propio futuro. Para la Clase del 2026, fue un momento para reflexionar sobre todo lo que han logrado y las comunidades escolares que los apoyaron en el camino.

At this regular Board of Education meeting, the Board highlighted the dedication, leadership, and impact of students, staff, and community members across El Rancho Unified.

During the meeting, the Board recognized certificated and classified Employees of the Year from across ERUSD, announced this year’s Districtwide Employees of the Year, honored student representatives for their service throughout the school year, and celebrated individuals making a meaningful difference in our schools and community. The Board also received reports and updates on District activities and educational matters.

We are proud to celebrate the people who continue to help ERUSD thrive each day. 💙

En esta reunión regular de la Mesa Directiva, se reconoció el esfuerzo, liderazgo y trabajo de estudiantes, empleados y miembros de la comunidad de todo El Rancho Unified.

Durante la reunión, la Mesa Directiva reconoció a los Empleados del Año certificados y clasificados de ERUSD, anunció a los Empleados del Año a nivel Distrito, agradeció a los representantes estudiantiles por su servicio durante el año escolar y celebró a personas que están haciendo una diferencia positiva en nuestras escuelas y comunidad. La Mesa Directiva también recibió informes y actualizaciones sobre actividades y temas educativos del Distrito.

Estamos orgullosos de celebrar a las personas que ayudan a que ERUSD siga creciendo cada día. 💙
