Reminder:
For the Marine Corps birthday tomorrow and Veterans day we have a crew transporting Veterans and there families to any and all events. If you are in need of transportation please message me so we can schedule you.
This weekend marks an important weekend…Veteran’s Day and the birth of my rival but fellow battle buddies the Devil Dogs like Jalen Ben, Jacob Hoard, Thomas Rouch, Ray Henry and many other dumb ass Marine Corp soldiers.
If you like to support your community I am always looking for volunteers to help with any and everything.

Dear Aaron,
With fall in full swing, Veterans Day and the holidays right around the corner, many VFW initiatives and deadlines are on the horizon for not only our members, but for all service members, veterans and their families.
With more information available within the email below, here’s a snapshot of a few important initiatives already upon us:

If you know of a youth interested in their share of more than $3 million in scholarships and awards, the Voice of Democracy and Patriot’s Pen essay entries are due to VFW Posts on Oct. 31.

If you’re a student veteran interested in advocating for veterans on Capitol Hill, the clock is ticking. The application deadline for the VFW-SVA Legislative Fellowship is Oct. 12.

If you’re a student veteran, or know someone who is and could use some help paying for school, the VFW’s “Sport Clips Help A Hero Scholarship” application is due on Nov. 15.

The easiest way to stay up-to-date with all of the VFW happenings is by following the VFW on social media. If you don’t already, get connected with the VFW today!
Respectfully,

THIS DAY IN ALL AMERICAN HISTORY: 7 MARCH 1991

HOMEWARD BOUND: THE FIRST DIVISION ELEMENT LEAVES THE DESERT

11 days after the ground offensive had officially begun in Operation Desert Storm, the Gold Falcons, 4-325, the first redeploying element of the Division, flew out of Rafha, Saudi Arabia on the first leg of its journey back to the US. The Gold Falcons, by the way, were commanded by Lieutenant Colonel John Vines, who would command the All American Division from August 2000 to October 2002.

The rest of the Falcon Brigade learned it would redeploy on March 9th.

By this time only the Falcon Brigade, the unit that arrived first in theater, was in Saudi Arabia, relieved of combat responsibility and preparing for movement back to Fort Bragg. The rest of the Division was still hundreds of miles inside Iraq.
