Join us this September’s Art Loop at The TBUAE and experience a vibrant collection of artwork that captures the rhythm, energy, and soul of jazz through bold color and expressive style of Desi Steele.
Desi is a realism artist based in Dover, Delaware, and studied at Delaware State University. After a ten-year journey of personal growth, she began her professional art career by participating in Middletown's Art Loop in 2024.
Today, Desi exhibits her work through Wilmington's Art Loop alongside talented local artists and is also an Art Battle Wilmington alumna. These experiences have allowed her to connect with the community while continuing to grow as an artist.
Inspired by history, nostalgia, and moments that become lasting memories, Desi creates detailed portraits and evocative scenes that spark emotion, reflection, and connection. She primarily works with water-mixable oil paints and has recently begun exploring oil pastels.
With faith at the center of her creative journey, Desi is grateful to God for leading her back to art and continues to create work that reflects both her personal experiences and shared human stories.
