Dolly Parton was a woman whose life was far bigger than music.
Dolly had a remarkable way of turning success into service. She used her platform, her resources, and her influence to bring hope to people, especially children and families who needed someone to believe in them.

Through her generosity, her Imagination Library, and countless acts of kindness, she showed the world that lifting others up is one of the greatest legacies we can leave behind.

As we mourn the loss of Dolly Parton, I keep thinking about the way she showed up for people, especially children, families, and those who needed a little extra hope.

That same spirit lives right here in our community.

Every day, people show up for children and families who are walking through hard seasons. They give their time. They open their homes. They provide meals, encouragement, resources, a listening ear, and sometimes simply the reassurance that someone cares.

At Barnabas Connection, we get to witness the incredible people who choose to serve others when it would be easier to look away. They remind us that changing a life doesn’t always happen through one big moment. Sometimes it happens through a person who keeps showing up.

Dolly Parton leaves behind a legacy of using what she had to make life a little brighter for someone else.

May we carry that legacy forward—not just by remembering her, but by doing what she did so well: showing up, serving others, and especially making room for the children and families who need us most.

There is no shortage of need in our communities. But there is also no shortage of people willing to love, serve, and make a difference.

And for that, we are deeply grateful. ❤️

A New Chapter at Barnabas! 💙❤️
Barnabas has been serving our community for 22 years, and we’re so excited to celebrate a special new chapter!

For almost 20 years, Daphne has faithfully served with Barnabas, bringing compassion, dedication, and heart to the people we serve. We are incredibly grateful for all she has poured into this community—and we’re happy to say Daphne isn’t going anywhere! She will continue serving in her role as Case Manager. 💙

As our community continues to grow and the need for our services increases, we recognized the need for additional support. We’re thrilled to share that Cecelia is joining Daphne as our new Assistant Case Manager! 🎉 Together, they’ll be able to serve and support even more individuals and families in our growing community.

This new position was made possible through a generous grant from the Burdine Johnson Foundation ! We are incredibly grateful for their investment in Barnabas and their support of our growing community.
