The Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Rural Transformation, Hon. Israel Bruce, joined members of the Board of Directors of the Medicinal Cannabis Authority, along with representatives from the Zero Hunger Trust Fund, the Saint Vincent and the Grenadines Tourism Authority, and the Farmers Support Company, for a site visit to medicinal cannabis manufacturing facilities across Saint Vincent and the Grenadines.

The tour provided a firsthand look at facilities where refined medicinal cannabis products are currently being processed or are being prepared for production, while highlighting the continued collaboration among public and private sector stakeholders to advance value-added production and strengthen the medicinal cannabis industry.

On Tuesday, March 17th, 2026, the Medicinal Cannabis Authority continued its Educational Awareness Initiative on Medicinal Cannabis at the Petit Bo**el Secondary School.

Our team engaged students in an interactive session, introducing them to the medicinal cannabis industry. Students were guided on the regulations that govern the cultivation, prescription, and legal use of cannabis as a medicine, highlighting the importance of responsible and approved use.

Students were encouraged to make smart, responsible choices: Say No to illicit drugs and drug abuse.

On Thursday, March 5th, 2026, the Medicinal Cannabis Authority commensed its educational initiative on Drug Abuse Awareness for Youths.

Our team visited the Tourouma Government School to educate students about the medicinal cannabis industry.

Osa Samuel, MCA Inspector, spoke on the environment and the Authority’s role, while Colicia Mingo, MCA Drug Inspector, discussed keeping developing brains and bodies safe, emphasizing the difference between helpful medicines and harmful drugs.

Students learned to Say No, Walk Away, and Tell a Trusted Adult if offered anything harmful to eat, drink, or smoke.
