In this episode of Ramble On!, the Mayor and our GM go behind the scenes with our first special guest of the year, Craig Betts. 📻

Craig dives into his role as Overseer North in Council’s Transport team and helps bust a few myths about how roads are managed, especially across the Guyra area.

Plus, we catch up on Mayor Sam Coupland’s recent activities, from the UNE REZ Forum in Armidale to the Big Chill Festival 2026, and a State Government visit announcing key funding to support the rollout of the NEREZ.

Babytime is offered regularly throughout the year, and the next program kicks off this Thursday 4 June!

It will be held at Armidale Library on Thursdays at 10am for four weeks.

More than 100 local children gathered at Guyra Library for National Simultaneous Storytime this week - enjoying a story at the same time as children around Australia 📣

Deputy Mayor Todd Redwood - Armidale Regional Council was special guest reader and gave an enthusiastic reading of this year’s official book - 'Luna Roo: the Kangaroo Baller', written by Adam Jackson and Adrian Lloyd, and illustrated by Jake Minton.

The libraries' team also hosted a colouring competition ahead of the day which attracted many colourful entries, and highlighted that not only are there many enthusiastic young book lovers, but there are many talented young artists in our community! 😊📖 🎨
