Fire and Rescue NSW Station 205 Armidale

Fire and Rescue NSW Station 205 Armidale Firefighters at Fire & Rescue Armidale are committed to serving the community 24 hours a day 365 day

As one of the world's largest urban fire and rescue services, we manage fire emergencies in NSWโ€™s major cities and towns. We respond to rescues, hazardous materials incidents and possible terrorism activities across the State. We work with other government agencies to minimise the impact of bushfires, storms, floods, landslides, building collapses, motor vehicle accidents and other emergencies. We

also run prevention and preparedness programs to prevent these emergencies and reduce their impact on the community.

Certified!

A great step forward for Armidale 205, with the station receiving our Remotely Piloted Aircraft System (aka drone) after being officially certified.

The drone capability will provide our crews with another valuable tool to assist with incidents, search and rescue, fireground intelligence and supporting the New England Community when it matters most.

A fantastic achievement for the station and another example of Armidale 205 continuing to build its capability. ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿšจ

You won't have time to think it through when smoke is filling the hallway.

Walk through your home and find two ways out of every room. Pick a safe meeting place outside. Practice it with everyone you live with, kids included.

Plan it now, while it's still just a plan.

Did you know?

Fires in the kitchen are the leading cause of house fires in NSW. The cause is almost always the same. Unattended cooking.

If you have to leave the kitchen, turn the stove off. A hot pan only needs a minute.

Cold dinner beats a house fire.

What an incredible day at the FRNSW Open Day at Armidale 205 Station! ๐Ÿš’๐Ÿ”ฅ

It was fantastic to see so many families, friends, and community members come through the station to check out the trucks, equipment, and meet our firefighters. The smiles on the kidsโ€™ faces, the support from the community, and the great conversations throughout the day made it a huge success.

From demonstrations and station tours to plenty of laughs and learning opportunities, the day showcased exactly what community spirit is all about. A massive thank you to everyone who attended and helped make the event such a memorable one.

Weโ€™re proud to serve the Armidale community and loved opening our doors to share what we do. Already looking forward to the next one! ๐Ÿšจ๐Ÿ‘จโ€๐Ÿš’
