📱 Reminder: The AusAlert National Test is Tomorrow.

Tomorrow at 1:30 pm ACST, the Australian Government will conduct the AusAlert national test.

This test is designed to help people recognise what an AusAlert message looks and sounds like, and to ensure the system is ready to be used during real emergencies.

What you can expect

📱 Compatible mobile devices across Australia may receive a Critical AusAlert message.

🔊 Your device may play the alert sound, vibrate and display the message on screen.

⚠️ The test is being sent as a Critical Alert, which cannot be turned off through your device settings.

Before 1:30 pm

✔️ Let family, friends and colleagues know the test is happening.
✔️ If you support older people, people with disability, children, or anyone who may be startled by the alert, take a few moments to explain what they can expect.
✔️ If you have meetings, presentations, classes or events scheduled around 1:30 pm, consider letting attendees know in advance that devices may briefly sound or vibrate.

During the test

✅ Read the message.
✅ There is no action required during today’s national test.
✅ Once you’ve read it, simply dismiss the notification and continue with your day.

The test is an important step in helping ensure Australians are familiar with AusAlert before it’s needed during a real emergency.

For more information, including compatible devices, accessibility information and frequently asked questions, visit www.ausalert.gov.au.

HUGE SMILES ALL ROUND – treasure found ❤️💛🧡💚
During the week Bradbury CFS attend a midnight call to assist a SA Ambulance Service crew who had become bogged. The long driveway had become boggy after recent rains to the point of almost impassable. Bradbury CFS along with assistance from Sturt State Emergency Service were able to winch and assist the ambulance out so they could be on their way with their onboard patient.
Whilst laying down recovery tracks prior to our arrival paramedic Ben lost his wedding ring in the muddy darkness.
The following day Bradbury members Martin, Richard and Michael returned with a metal detector and were able to find and return Ben’s wedding ring for which he was extremely grateful (as we are sure was his wife).
We also send our well wishes to the patient for a speedy recovery.

⚠️ Elevated Fire Weather Forecast for Tomorrow ⚠️

While tomorrow officially marks the end of the Fire Danger Season, dry conditions remain across the state and continue to pose an increased fire risk.

This week alone, our volunteers have responded to more than 14 grass fires across the state, highlighting how quickly fires can start and spread.

🔥 With the risk still in the landscape, please take caution and remain vigilant when conducting any activity involving fire.

If conducting a burn, ensure a responsible person is in attendance at all times, water or a suitable fire extinguisher is available, and regularly check once the fire is extinguished to ensure it hasn't reignited. Ensure you follow any local restrictions or guidelines.

Your actions can help prevent unwanted fires and keep our communities safe.
