FILE: INTERNAL CORRESPONDENCE (SUPPLEMENTARY)

The Department confirms receipt of the party's motion calling for the project to cease.

The motion has been forwarded to the Department of Planning, Housing and Infrastructure, which is assessing the rezoning proposal.

A subcommittee has been formed to consider whether the party's position constitutes a change in circumstances for the purposes of that assessment.

The subcommittee has scheduled a meeting to discuss a vote whose result every member of the subcommittee already knows.

Asked whether the party's conference is the decision-making body of NSW Labor, officials confirmed that it is. Officials also confirmed its decisions do not bind the Department.

Further submissions will now be invited from the public, Council, stakeholders and branch members.

The Government is welcome to make a submission.

A further update will be provided once the Government has finished considering the Government's response.

The project would see up to 450 dwellings built.

FILE: WATER EFFICIENCY

The Department confirms a strategic plan has been prepared to improve the efficient use of water between 2026 and 2031.

Community members are encouraged to share ideas on how to use less of it.

Administrative review indicates recent water bills have already delivered measurable improvements in water efficiency.

Submissions received will be considered alongside existing submissions, future submissions and any subsequent submissions regarding the consideration of submissions.

Current advice is to remain hydrated.

A routine review of hidden gems has found Mylestom no longer operating within acceptable levels of obscurity.

Preliminary consultation has accordingly commenced into locking the gate.

Chan's Chinese, the Bowling Club and the General Store have been assessed and classified as essential services, and will continue operating.

Existing residents retain full access. Future residents are encouraged to have moved here earlier.

Repton residents should make alternative arrangements. This matter is unrelated and should not be raised again.

Applicants unable to correctly pronounce "Mylestom" will be processed in due course, at a pace considered appropriate.

Vessels may continue entering and exiting Mylestom as normal.
