Moree team had a visit from some of our coastal team this week! Cathy and Claire packed the car full of fresh stock boxes and headed out to visit our beautiful Moree community. Casey, Krystal and the team in Moree do an incredible job supporting their community, with a Pantry open 5 days a week, a thriving Care ministry and and Op Shop stocked with quality second hand goods. Locations hours a part, but the same vision and goal to see communities thrive ❤️

LifeHouse Care pantry in Urunga is 13 years old this week!
this last year has bought big changes, with our pantry moving from our previous space to a larger community focused space at Life House Church Urunga. We now have facilities for morning tea and a cuppa while you do your pantry shop, a play area for the kids and even a Playgroup that meets weekly. Thank you for coming along, supporting each other, having a chat, a coffee and some cake. 🎂 ☕️

🥁🥁 DRUM ROLL PLEASE... 🥁🥁

We're so excited to finally share the final result of our LifeWalk 2026 campaign...

🎉 Together, our community raised an incredible $32, 831!!🎉

Wow!

What started as a Saturday morning walk became something so much bigger. Throughout the campaign, people walked, donated online, gave through our Op Shops, shared our posts, volunteered their time, sponsored the event, and encouraged others to get involved.

Every act of generosity made a difference.

It was fantastic to see 315 people join us on the day, and a huge thank you to the many volunteers who helped make LifeWalk such a great event.

We also want to celebrate our incredible team of more than 100 volunteers who faithfully serve every week across our Op Shops, Pantries, Warehouse and CareHouse. LifeWalk is just one part of the work they help make possible all year round.

To our sponsors, community partners, volunteers, walkers, donors and everyone who got behind LifeWalk 2026—thank you. Your generosity will help LifeHouse Care continue providing practical support, connection and hope to individuals and families doing it tough across the Coffs Coast, Grafton and Moree.

Today's the day. 💛

As the financial year comes to a close, so does our LifeWalk 2026 fundraising campaign.

Over the past 30 years, we've seen the difference a caring community can make. Whether it's helping a family through a difficult week, supporting someone as they rebuild their life, or simply reminding a person that they're not alone, every act of generosity matters.

Thanks to the incredible generosity of our community, we've already raised more than $25,000 to support local individuals and families experiencing hardship and crisis.

Every donation helps provide practical support, food assistance, community care and hope to people across our region.

A woman who has been living in her van for the past 10 years first came to us last November for food assistance.

During that visit, she shared a simple dream — to one day cook a roast dinner again. Living in her van, it was one of the things she missed most.

Recently, due to declining health, she was offered priority housing and is moving into a place of her own. She reached out to LifeHouse Care for help with furniture as she prepared for this new chapter.

When offering food assistance, our team remembered the dream she had shared months earlier. Along with practical support, we were able to provide butcher and BIG W vouchers so she could buy meat, roasting pans and finally cook that long-awaited roast in her new home.

Sometimes it's the small things that mean the most.
