Crescendo Choir was formed in 1995 as an initiative of the Tasmanian Department of Education's Barrington District Superintendent, the late Rosemary Wardlaw, under the directorship of Elizabeth Sandman and accompanist Dominique Baker. Crescendo has a reputation for high quality public performances and, since its inception, has been involved in performances at school, community and Tasmanian functi
ons. The choir has performed in Japan, New Zealand, South Korea, UK, Austria and throughout Australia. Wherever they have travelled, Crescendo have been willing to perform and workshop with local groups as an extension of friendship and cultural exchange. Crescendo Music Hub offers a comprehensive music education program from prep to grade 12 for students wishing to develop vocal and instrumental skills in an ensemble situation.
