NSW SES - Dubbo City Unit Dubbo City Unit provides Emergency Response for Storm & Flood events. We also assist other emergency services as required.

We also assist with General Land Rescue, Bush Search and Rescue, Vertical Rescue, and Evidence searches.

🚨Operational Update🚨 - Sandbag self-service pickup.

With significant rainfall over the mid west area SES volunteers are out and about supporting their communities.

NSW SES – Dubbo Unit has received 11 calls for help so far and we are endeavouring to get to people as quickly as we can. Please be patient as we try and get to you if you have called.

If you need help with storm damage or flooding issues, please call 132500. If there is any life-threatening emergency, please call 000

From 1130 there will also be a self-service pickup point at our unit at 8 Judy Jakins Drive Dubbo (out in the airport precinct). You are welcome to come and gather some sandbags to support your own property protection for those who have minor issues with water ingress.

Our mascot Paddy has been busy sharing important storm and flood safety tips with all the animals he could find at the show — including two very special visitors from the Mounted Unit - NSW Police Force! 🐴🚨

Volunteers from NSW SES - Dubbo City Unit are located near the Gate 1 entry on Fitzroy St and are ready to answer your questions about flood and storm safety, as well as volunteering with the NSW SES.

🌩️ Storm Recovery Update – Dubbo & Surrounding Areas
Over the course of two days, NSW SES Dubbo received 57 requests for assistance following Thursday’s unexpected severe thunderstorm.
Thanks to the tireless efforts of our local crews, supported by teams from NSW SES Orange City Unit, NSW SES Bathurst Unit, NSW SES Molong, NSW SES - Lightning Ridge Unit, and NSW SES Broken Hill Unit, all tasks have now been successfully completed.

👏 A huge thank you to everyone involved for their dedication and teamwork. Your commitment to helping the community recover is truly appreciated.

🌩️ Storm Operations Update – Dubbo & Surrounding Areas
Yesterday’s sudden storm resulted in 46 requests for assistance across Dubbo and nearby communities. Our hardworking and dedicated crews worked late into the night and were able to complete the majority of these jobs.
There are still 12 outstanding requests, and teams from Dubbo, NSW SES Orange City Unit and NSW SES Bathurst Unit are back out today continuing the clean-up effort.
As we work through this mammoth clean‑up task, we greatly appreciate the community’s patience and understanding.

To help keep everyone safe while crews are out and about, please remember:

- Stay clear of fallen trees, damaged roofs, and powerlines.
- Keep children and pets away from storm‑affected areas.
