I hope you all had a great Father’s Day.

We had an early start to get in a catch up with my Dad, and our family for a beautiful breakfast at a lovely local restaurant owned by one amazing local cook and business woman. A special few hours where my son spent the time with his Dad and Grandad. We celebrate him for all he does.

Phil spent the rest of the day working, as did I. Phil getting ready for the big concrete pour and me picking up amazing donations of great snake and turtle tanks.
We are always amazed by this Father’s work ethic. He drives us both a bit crazy but otherwise he is an awesome Wildlife and Human Dad.

As always, a huge thanks to Faye working Sundays, the weekends are often harder to sacrifice our personal lives for our wildlife work, as we never have enough time off for some reason. 😜🙏❤️

One of our own is under threat.
🔥 Bushfire is only 1km from the Sanctuary. It sounds like they as prepared as they can be! Our thoughts and hopes are with all their staff and volunteers to get through this threat safely.

I have found that a partial water change every few days, promotes healing ❤️‍🩹 and aids in returning the snake to full health 🐍

Justin is finally quiet! He has been hungrily mooing for 2 hrs.

I am finally getting to feed them at 2.30pm, after cleaning and feeding chooks and sea snake, only to have a Fire truck race past.

A terribly early start to the bad fire season. Scary right!! Stay safe everyone 🫶🙏❤️
