Fire stopped by the Great Eastern break! responded to assist Rescue NSW to report of a on Headland, about 730am this morning. It was found to be a small fire on the edge of the cliff, where timber had been burnt. RFS with Fire and Rescue NSW Station 068 Narrabeen & Stn 006 fire fighters walked into bushland to locate and extinguish the fire.

One loose ember, floating into bushland could have caused a major fire in the coastal heath vegetation. It might be colder, but wind and dry vegetation can still burn and we encourage you to report any fires on any of our coastal headlands via 000
