Ingleside Rural Fire Brigade is a volunteer Emergency Fire Service in Sydney, New South Wales, Australia providing Fire Protection for our Community since 1952... Ingleside Rural Fire Brigade members volunteer their time as part of the New South Wales Rural Fire Service to assist in protection of the communities of the Northern Beaches Local Government Area of Sydney. We assist with Bush Fire Supp

ression and Prevention, Vehicle accidents and fires, Structural Fires and other operational incidents and to provide Bush Fire Education and Awareness to our community. We respond to a variety of situations and generally respond to 90-100 operational incidents including Bush/Grass Fires, Structure Fires, Vehicles Accidents, Vehicle Fires, Storm Damage, Automatic Fire Alarm Calls mostly within the Ingleside area. Ingleside also assists with other emergency services like New South Wales (NSW) Police Force, Ambulance Service NSW, Fire Rescue NSW and the State Emergency Service. Our Fire-fighting vehicles include:
One Hino 3400 Litre - 4x4 Pumper
One Isuzu 3400 Litre - 4X4 Tankers
One Toyota Hilux 4x4 Dual Cab Ute

Ingleside offers assistance for events such as market days, fire awareness week, community displays and community education. In September, 2014 Ingleside came 3rd overall in the NSW Rural Fire Service - State Fire-fighting Championships held at Pambula, NSW. As a volunteer you initially complete a comprehensive nationally recognised Bush Fire Fighters course which allows you to become a member of our Brigade and attend operational incidents. As with all Rural Fire Brigades, Ingleside members are regularly called out by pager to assist with incidents 24 hours a day 365 days a year. Currently at Ingleside, all fire-fighting members are required to complete one duty day per month (8hrs) and commit to every second training and meeting nights, which occur once per month. If you're seeing smoke around the or Northern Beaches areas, its likely from Hazard Reduction burns being undertaken in Hornsby area.

There is a large 230 hectare Hazard Reduction burn at Bobbin Head East, being undertaken by NSW National Parks and Wildlife Service, with most of the smoke coming from this burn with the Westerly winds.

responded just after 3pm today to a fire, Rd, Ingleside near Ingleside Rd. A two storey dwelling was well alight upon arrival of FR & RFS. The whole upper floor was lost to , with the property not currently lived in for several years. NSW Police will investigate the circumstances of the fire. Numerous RFS appliances responded, along with two FRNSW trucks from Fire and Rescue NSW Station 068 Narrabeen and Mona Vale. held their Annual General Meeting on Saturday, where our operational and administrative roles were elected and yearly reports submitted. Its Inglesides' 74th year helping our local community with , and Village incidents such as vehicle and the occasional structural . This year we re-elected our Captain Laura back to the role for her 4th year and Alek was re-elected as Brigade President.

Several of our members also received the NSW Premiers Flood Citation for their work during floods around NSW in 2022-2023.
