Community Notice – Millstream Chichester National Park

The Department of Biodiversity, Conservation and Attractions (DBCA) has advised that it intends to undertake an introduced predator monitoring and control program targeting feral cats within Millstream Chichester National Park.

The program will involve aerial baiting operations using 1080 Eradicat® baits as part of ongoing conservation efforts to protect native wildlife and support regional conservation outcomes.

DBCA has advised that:
• 1080 risk signage will be installed throughout relevant areas;
• exclusion zones and monitoring activities will form part of the program; and
• community consultation will continue prior to implementation.

Community members are encouraged to take care in affected areas and ensure domestic pets are kept away from baited locations.
