1/2 POSSUM MATHEMATICIANS! ⭐️

1/2 possum have been busy in maths, focusing on combinations to 10 and 20. Some students have also been practicing counting by tens to add and count up to 100.

We have been learning about sharing into equal groups and investigating halves and quarters using paper to fold and cut our equal parts.

Well done Possums!

RECONCILIATION WEEK AT OEPS

Reconciliation Week at Orange East Public School was a time of connection, learning, and understanding.

Our students were fortunate to welcome Maddy and Greg from the local Orange community, who spoke with them about the meaning and importance of reconciliation. Through sharing stories, knowledge, and experiences, students gained a deeper understanding of respect, relationships, and working together towards a stronger future.

Throughout the week, each class showcased its creativity by creating unique interpretations of the purple hibiscus flower, the symbol of Reconciliation Week. Students used a variety of artistic styles and techniques to express their understanding of reconciliation and what it means to them.

These beautiful artworks will be proudly displayed in the front building windows for parents, carers, and community members to enjoy and reflect upon.

We are proud of our students for embracing the spirit of Reconciliation Week and for demonstrating the importance of learning from one another, respecting our shared history, and walking together towards a more united future. 🌿💜
