The Rural Financial Counselling Service (RFCS) Northern Region is hosting a Claim Ready Webinar for anyone approved for a Natural Disaster Relief Grant or Rural Landholder Grant following last year’s major severe weather events.

Financial support is now available in the Central Coast LGA with an extension confirmed for the natural disaster declaration for severe weather that occurred from 14 January 2026.

👉 Primary producers:
Concessional loans up to $130,000
Transport subsidies up to $15,000

👉 Small business:
Concessional loans up to $130,000

👉 Not-for-profit organisations:
Concessional loans up to $25,000
Donated fodder transport subsidies

👉 Sporting and recreation clubs and associations
Concessional loans up to $10,000

We’ve made it easier for you to access and manage your assistance with the RAA through our new online portal.

By creating an RAA Account, you can:

✔ Apply for financial assistance
✔ Submit claims for approved grants or loans
✔ Track the progress of applications and claims
✔ Receive and complete assigned tasks
✔ Submit support requests

Your details will be stored securely in the portal, so you won’t need to re‑enter information each time you complete a form.

Financial support is now available in the Blayney, Cabonne and Gilgandra LGAs, as well as the Unicorporated - Far West Area, with an agricultural natural disaster declaration confirmed for severe storms that occurred between 24-26 November 2025, causing damage to horticultural, grazing and cropping enterprises.

👉 Primary producers:

🌾 Choosing the right support during dry times can make a big difference. Here’s a simple side‑by‑side guide to help you understand how the NSW Government's drought‑focused loans compare:

👉 Drought Ready and Resilient Fund Loan
Amount: Up to $500,000
Security: Property security required
Availability: One loan per financial year
Repayments: 5 or 10 year terms
Best for: Larger, long‑term investment projects that build drought preparedness and resilience

👉 Drought Relief Loan
Amount: Up to $100,000
Security: Unsecured (no property required)
Availability: One loan per eligible farm business
Repayments: 5 year term
Best for: Immediate support with a faster, simpler application, reduced documentation, and an up‑front payment of up to $25,000
