Radiation Therapist | Western Cancer Centre | 🎯 Serious clinical variety | Incentives | Four-day week.

We’re looking for a Radiation Therapist to join the team at the Western Cancer Centre, Dubbo Health Service, with $5K–$10K incentives offered.

This is a role with more than treatment delivery. You’ll work across treatment, planning and simulation at a single linear accelerator site, supported by a district Radiation Oncology service provided from Dubbo and Orange.

The Western Cancer Centre Dubbo is a modern, purpose-built cancer centre that opened only four years ago, bringing radiation therapy and PET CT services to Dubbo for the first time. It means people across Dubbo, Far Western NSW can access life-saving cancer care much closer to home.

Why this role stands out:

βœ” 35 hours across 4 days
βœ” Monday to Friday clinical hours
βœ” Treatment, planning and simulation work
βœ” PET scanning service onsite
βœ” Sub-specialist Radiation Oncologists
βœ” Radiation Oncology nursing and MDT support
βœ” Comprehensive orientation and planning credentialling
βœ” Research capacity and professional development opportunities
βœ” $5K–$10K incentives offered

And then there’s Dubbo β€” a major regional city with a median house price around $625K, short commutes, daily flights, schools, cafΓ©s, sport, events and a strong health workforce community.

If you’re a Radiation Therapist looking for clinical breadth, strong team connection, a modern cancer centre and a lifestyle that gives you time back in your day, this could be your next move.

Relocating? The Welcome Experience can help with housing, schools, partner employment and community connections.

Registered Nurse – Brewarrina Multi-Purpose Service
πŸ’° $10K–$20K incentives offered | General Wards + Primary & Community Health opportunities 🩺 Use all your nursing skills β€” not just one part of them. Casual applicants also encouraged to apply.

If you’re ready for nursing with real variety, broader scope and more autonomy, Brewarrina could be your next move.

Rural nursing at a Multi-Purpose Service means every day looks different. You may work across emergency, acute care, aged care, chronic disease, primary health, child health, palliative care and health promotion β€” supported by small teams and 24/7 access to clinicians through virtual care and telehealth.

This is nurse-led care, which means your judgement matters. You’ll have more influence in patient care, build strong relationships with families and community, and develop skills much faster than you often can in larger hospitals.

Why nurses choose rural practice:

βœ” Use your full skillset
βœ” Grow quickly toward top-of-scope practice
βœ” Be respected and trusted in your community
βœ” Work with strong 24/7 clinical support
βœ” Build real relationships with patients and families
βœ” Experience nursing across the whole health journey

And in the bush, community is not just a nice idea β€” it’s the safety net. People look out for each other, doors are open, and the work you do is seen and valued.

If you’re looking for nursing with scope, connection and real career growth, we’d love to hear from you.

This is very big news for aspiring Doctors in our region. The USYD Dubbo School of Rural Health will offer a part-time option for their post-grad medical degree in 2027, initially to students entering their third year, with plans to extend the scheme in the future years.

The University of Sydney is driving meaningful change in medical education.

In an Australian first, the Doctor of Medicine will soon be available as a part-time study option, giving students greater flexibility to balance study with work, health, and caring responsibilities.

Launching in 2027, the program will initially allow students to complete Year 3 over two years, without compromising academic standards.
This initiative reflects a broader commitment to equity, inclusion, and widening participation in medicine, ensuring talented future doctors aren’t left behind due to life circumstances.
