NSW SES Batemans Bay Unit and NSW RFS Surf Beach Brigade proudly invite you to the Open Day of the new Surf Beach Emergency Services Precinct from 10am to 2pm at 3 Sawmill Road, Surf Beach.

⭐️Enjoy a BBQ at a nominal cost, marvel at 🚒🚚 Emergency Services Vehicles, meet our brilliant local volunteers, and take away valuable information.

📍Kindly note that onsite parking facilities will not be available; however, a complimentary shuttle service will be provided from a designated parking area (see map and instructions below).

📍We appreciate your understanding and request that you kindly refrain from parking near the NSW Ambulance station.

Last week was a relatively calm operational period, but our volunteers were still hard at work, contributing over 2,100 hours across response efforts, training, and community engagement.
Across South East NSW, teams also enjoyed some fantastic WOW Day celebrations—recognising the dedication and impact of our incredible volunteers. 👏.

🔸️On the 19th May, NSW SES Batemans Bay Unit responded to a motor vehicle accident at around 9am at Durras Road, Benandarah after a vehicle left the road and went down an embankment.

When crews arrived, Fire & Rescue NSW were already assisting the patient. With support from members of the public, traffic was managed while NSW RFS Batemans Bay and Long Beach Brigade's also attended the scene.

Once the patient was removed from the vehicle, all three agencies worked together to carry out the patient safely up the embankment and handed over to paramedics.

⭐️A great example of teamwork and co-operation across emergency services!
