At The Injury Centre, we’re incredibly lucky to have experienced Emergency Nurse Practitioners as part of our team across our Narellan and Norwest clinics.

But what exactly is an Emergency Nurse Practitioner?

An Emergency Nurse Practitioner is an advanced practice clinician with extensive emergency department experience and advanced university training in diagnosing and managing acute injuries.

Their expertise allows them to:

✔️ Assess acute injuries
✔️ Order and interpret imaging
✔️ Diagnose fractures and soft tissue injuries
✔️ Apply casts and splints
✔️ Develop treatment plans
✔️ Refer directly to orthopaedic specialists when required

At The Injury Centre, our ENPs work alongside physiotherapists and orthopaedic/ plastic/ emergency specialists to provide fast, high-quality care for injuries — helping patients avoid long emergency department wait times where appropriate.
