Another strong day at South City collecting signatures for the Gobba Bridge petition!

A huge thank you to everyone who stopped for a chat yesterday and added their name. The conversations showed just how much our community values a better connection to the expanding northern suburbs and beyond.

Pictured: Dr Joe McGirr MP and Committee 4 Wagga’s Brad Campbell, who spent the morning speaking with locals about creating a river crossing that better serves our community now and into the future.

Wagga is stepping up. Every signature adds real weight to the push for action 🤝

Haven’t signed the Gobba Bridge petition yet? Tomorrow, Saturday, 23 May, is your moment ✍️

Committee 4 Wagga’s Brad Campbell will be at South City Shopping Centre with Dr Joe McGirr MP between 9.30am and 11.30am, helping collect the final signatures.

The response so far has been overwhelming! We’re rapidly closing in on the 10,000 signatures required for Dr Joe McGirr to debate this issue in State Parliament.

Let’s finish strong for Wagga and help build the case for a safer, more efficient river crossing for our growing city 🤝

As a proud Committee 4 Wagga member, Rehman Sheriff Group is helping Riverina businesses tackle one of our biggest challenges – the regional skills shortage.

With local fill rates sitting at just 64.3%, employers across construction, health, aged care, hospitality, and agriculture are feeling the strain. RSG has stepped up with a clear, practical guide outlining the skilled migration pathways designed specifically for regional employers, from the Orana DAMA to Skills in Demand visa and permanent sponsorship options.

If your business is finding it hard to hire, this guide is genuinely worth your time. It brings clarity to a complex space and gives employers practical pathways to secure the skilled talent needed to keep the Riverina growing 📈

Wagga Business Summit 2.0 has been met with exceptional feedback, which is a testament to the strength and ambition of our local business community! 🤝

Leaders from across the region flocked to the Wagga RSL Club for a day of ideas, insights and practical perspectives. With support from Commonwealth Bank, Riverina Water, and Telstra, Committee 4 Wagga brought together an outstanding lineup of speakers who explored the economic forces shaping our region.

Keynote speakers Scott Phillips, Chief Investment Officer at The Motley Fool Australia, and Dennis Voznesenski, Commbank Agricultural and Sustainability Officer, delivered standout presentations on Australia’s shifting economic landscape and shared expert advice. They were joined by City of Wagga Wagga Council General Manager Peter Thompson, Telstra Regional General Manager for ACT and Southern NSW Chris Taylor, Women in Business Wagga Wagga Inc President Gioia Gianniotis, Australian Productivity Commission's Martin Stokie, Business NSW - Riverina Murray Director Serena Hardwick, Regional Growth NSW Development Corporation’s Michael Keys, and Zetifi CEO Dan Winson, each adding depth and local relevance across a range of sectors.

Guided by chair Chris Roe, the Summit encouraged meaningful conversations about Wagga’s future, the opportunities ahead and the immediate and long-term impacts for local businesses.
