The bowel cancer screening test is quick, easy and could save your life.

But only 2 in 5 people in NSW are reported to have completed and returned their kit.

This bowel cancer awareness month, make your health a priority and do the test.

Free kits are mailed to people aged 50–74 every 2 years—and if you’re 45–49, you can request one today.

Find out more information and to request a kit, head to www.cancer.nsw.gov.au/dothetest

Farewell Pam!

We are saying goodbye to long-serving MLHD staff member, Pam Macreadie.

Pam will be a familiar face to many families as she has conducted SWISH hearing tests on newborns at Wagga Wagga Base Hospital and across the District for 19 years.

Having started her career working in the kitchen and on domestic duties and as an Assistant In Nursing at Henty MPS, Pam has worked for MLHD for 35 years.

Although she’s looking forward to the next stage of her life, Pam says she will miss working with newborns and their families and her fellow staff members.
