The 4th Annual Halton Non-Profit Congress is a transformative event designed for organizations of all sizes, with a particular focus on completely volunteer-led organizations in the sport, recreation, arts, culture, and environmental sub-sectors.

The 2026 Congress Planning Committee is seeking workshop proposals for this event. The theme is "Connecting Technology and Humans in the Non-Profit Space"; proposals are being accepted for workshops focused on the following topics: Governance and Succession Planning; Volunteer Engagement; Non-Profit Finances; and IT/Cybersecurity.

Stakeholder engagement is built on relationships with community members, funders, partners, and those directly impacted into the work in meaningful ways. Join us on Wednesday November 4, 2026 from 1pm to 3pm for this two-hour, in-person, hands-on workshop to explore what stakeholder engagement really means for grassroots and emerging organizations.

Delivered by Lori Stanley at the Tansley Wood Public Library in Burlington, participants will:

-Discover how stakeholder engagement fosters effective planning, advocacy, and informed decision-making
-Identify and map key stakeholders - including partners, funders, and community voices
-Understand how stakeholder engagement connects day-to-day work with long-term organizational and community impact

The Halton Non-Profit Congress is a transformative event designed for organizations of all sizes, with a particular focus on completely volunteer-led organizations in the sport, recreation, arts, culture, and environmental sub-sectors.

The Halton Non-Profit Congress Planning Committee is currently accepting workshop proposals for the 2026 event on October 3, 2026. The event theme is Connecting Technology and Humans in the Non-Profit Space and will be offering 2-hour interactive workshops to attendees as part of the event's professional development offerings.
