life situations.

Violence against women and girls remains one of the most prevalent and pervasive human rights violations in the world. Globally, almost one in three women have been subjected to physical and/or sexual intimate partner violence, non-partner sexual violence, or both, at least once in their life.

16 Days of Activism is to demand accountability, invest in prevention, and build a future free from violence against women and girls.

This month let’s learn, speak up, support survivors and push for change 💜

This month let’s learn, speak up, support survivors and push for change 💜

November 25th – International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women 💜

Today marks the beginning of the 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence, a global campaign that continues through to December 6th — Canada’s National Day of Remembrance and Action on Violence Against Women, honouring the 14 women who were killed at École Polytechnique in Montreal.

Today, and every day, we stand with survivors.
Let’s turn Chatham-Kent purple in solidarity and continue working together to eliminate violence against women and children.
